Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was reached following an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
