Stateside actor Pat Finn, who featured in popular television series such as Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has died at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California recently following treatment for cancer since 2022, as reported by media reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones shared in a announcement.
They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the titular character's brother.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, portraying a social organizer known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.

He was most recognized for playing the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight series from 2011 to 2018.
His film credits encompass "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".
Outside of his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was a member of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired countless students throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," he posted online.
Finn is survived by his spouse Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
